SFG Workshop

Ekspla Ltd together with German partners TOPAG Lasertechnik GmbH and in collaboration with Max Plank Institute held a workshop on sum frequency generation (SFG) spectroscopy in Golm (Germany), in November 2006. Inspired by booming interest in SFG spectroscopy, this was the first company-sponsored (Ekspla and Topag) event where scientists shared their research results, discussed current techniques and prospects of the SFG spectroscopy.
Ekspla announced its plans to build its first commercial SFG microscope in the first quarter of 2007. The event attracted recognized researchers in the field, such as G.Rupprechter, M.Florsheimer, H.Motschman and others.
“This was a very successful event. The sharing of knowledge on most recent achievements in SFG spectroscopy and technique development brings scientists and manufacturers closer together”, says Irmantas Mikulskas, head of Ekspla laser sales division. “Our target is not only to sell equipment but to develop partnership with our customer,” he added.
